The Hyde Family Foundations are committed to a bold vision for a progressive Memphis. In supporting and funding initiatives, we look for high-impact programs that develop new knowledge, improve public policy, nurture civic creativity, enhance institutional foundations, and provide information to engage the public.
To this end, we seek specific outcomes in our funding:
• We find partners who join with us to leverage capital, influence, time, and energy that effect change.
• We lead the creation of national best practices in grantmaking that, while locally directed, can offer systemic solutions replicable in other cities.
• We seek visionary opportunities to strengthen the philanthropy of others.
• We are catalysts for cutting-edge solutions for community problem-solving and lead the drive to broaden the city's vision for itself.
• We recruit active, involved public and private partners to shape a new vision for our city.
• We develop imaginative programs with measurable outcomes through collaborative partnerships.
• We support leaders who understand that demographics are not destiny, because working together, anything can be accomplished.
• We create the connectivity between programs that produces new forces for progress in which the results are greater than the sum of its parts.
